Blood tests called liver function tests (LFTs) detect bilirubin, proteins, and enzymes to evaluate the health of the liver. They monitor therapy response, assess drug adverse effects, and aid in the detection of liver damage, inflammation, or illness. Conditions including cirrhosis, fatty liver disease, or hepatitis may be indicated by abnormal results.
