If you have just picked up the Hostile Takeover quest, you are in for a bit of a scrap. Greust in the Sarn Encampment sends you off to deal with some Blackguard troublemakers who have set up shop in the Sarn Slums. The job? Find their hideout and take down the boss. Sounds simple, but the first run can feel like a bit of a maze. Oh, and you might want to make sure your gear is in decent shape — a few extra PoE 2 Currency upgrades never hurt before heading in.

The Sarn Slums can be a headache to navigate. It is a big, messy sprawl with plenty of dead ends, so do not expect a straight path. The trick that works for most players is to hug the outer walls of the map and work your way around. The entrance you are looking for is called The Warehouse, and it will always be somewhere along the edge. Keep an eye on your minimap — the exit icon will pop up once you are close. You will run into the usual mix of undead and scavengers on the way, so be ready to clear pockets of enemies before pushing deeper.

Once you step into The Warehouse, things get more straightforward. The place is basically a set of corridors packed with Blackguard soldiers. They are not individually dangerous, but they can swarm you if you stand still too long. Area-of-effect skills are your friend here — clear them fast and keep moving. At the far end, you will meet Captain Arteri, the one calling the shots. He is a melee bruiser with a fondness for fire-based attacks. Watch for his slow wind-up slash and his ground slam that sends out fiery projectiles. Both can hurt if you just eat them, so sidestep when you see the tell. He will also call in a few adds mid-fight, and it is usually worth taking them out before going back to him.

Fighting Arteri is all about movement. Do not try to face-tank him unless you are seriously overgeared. Dodge, hit, back off, repeat. If you keep the adds under control and avoid his big swings, he will eventually go down. He drops a quest item you will need, so make sure to grab it before leaving. A quick town portal will save you the walk back. Hand the item to Greust in the Sarn Encampment, and you will walk away with a shiny passive skill point and a choice of some solid rare gear. Not bad for clearing out a few troublemakers — and if you are smart, you will use that u4gm PoE 2 Currency to get even stronger for what is coming next.
