April 28 is going to flip the mood of ARC Raiders on its head. A lot of players spent this season creeping around, stuffing their pockets with gold, alloys, and anything else that could raise their stash value. That cautious style made sense for a while, but it won't carry anyone through Riven Tides. The old reward loop is being replaced, and that changes what matters overnight. If you've been stockpiling ARC Raiders Items and avoiding every risky fight, you're about to find out that survival alone isn't enough anymore. The end-of-season push now rewards pressure, aggression, and raw output more than a tidy bank ever could.

From hoarding to hunting

Under the old setup, players could dump stash value into the Expedition and lock in permanent Skill Points. So yeah, people played scared. Why take a fight if one bad run could cost you progress? That whole mindset is getting pushed out. Starting with the April 28 update, the season-end challenge is built around damage. To earn the five new permanent Skill Points, you need to deal real destruction out in the field. That can mean dropping enemy Raiders in PvP, or it can mean tearing through giant ARC targets. Either way, the message is pretty clear: if your best gear has been gathering dust, now's the time to use it. The final days of the season probably won't feel cautious at all. They'll feel loud, messy, and packed with players trying to force their way to the finish line.

A real catch-up path for late players

One of the smarter changes in this update is the new catch-up system for missed Skill Points. Players who joined late, skipped a season, or just couldn't keep up have usually felt stuck behind. Now there's at least a way forward. Once you complete the current Damage Challenge, you can recover Skill Points from past seasons by paying for them. It's not cheap, and it's not meant to be. Each point costs around 300,000 Gold or the matching value in materials. Still, that gives old savings a purpose. Your pile of currency won't unlock the newest points by itself, but it can help smooth out weak spots in your build and close the gap between newer players and longtime grinders.

What needs to be finished before the wipe

Before anything resets, players still need to wrap up the Caravan project at base. That means turning in the required materials, including ARC alloys and batteries, and making sure the Caravan is ready to leave. If you manage to depart before the deadline, the rewards are worth it: five permanent Skill Points, twelve extra permanent stash slots, and cosmetics like the Scrappy Turban plus the Patchwork evolution sets. That's the good news. The other side of it is the wipe. Regular stash contents, levels, and blueprints are all getting cleared to make room for Panorama Azzurro. So if there was ever a season to stop playing timid, this is it.

Why the end of the season will feel different

What makes this shift interesting is that it changes player behaviour right away. People who used to dodge contact are now being pushed into fights, and that alone should make the closing stretch of the season way more alive. You'll probably see more squads taking chances, more high-end gear in circulation, and fewer players sitting on resources they never planned to spend. Gold still matters, but not in the old way. It's backup now, not the main objective. If you want to leave the season stronger, you need action first and planning second, and a lot of players will likely buy ARC Raiders Items early so they can head into the Riven Tides rush properly prepared rather than scrambling at the last minute.
