The first thing I'd do after getting loose in Japan is stop treating the map like a checklist. The Treasure Cars aren't sitting in the Autoshow, and they don't ask you to win a championship first. They're just out there, tucked into places you'd probably drive past while chasing roads, photos, and drift zones. That's what makes them fun. If you're building a garage around rare FH6 Cars, these nine finds are worth grabbing early, because each one is free once you've reached it and triggered the pickup prompt.

How the hidden car system behaves

Treasure Cars work more like proximity discoveries than normal rewards. You won't get a neat marker from the start. Drive close enough and Mei will radio in with a rumour, then the car gets added to your list. There's no heavy progression gate, so you can start looking once free roam opens up. Drone mode helps a lot, especially in tree cover or rough terrain. Tap into it when you're dealing with rail lines, mountain roads, wind farms, or clusters of buildings that all look a bit too similar after ten minutes.

Where to begin your search

Start in Tokyo City with the 1991 Nissan Figaro. It's down by the southern coast, near a small parking area east of the western bridge that leads toward the Drift Club island, with Rainbow Bridge visible off in the distance. Next, head to Minamino for the 1969 Dodge Charger R/T. Look around the golf course entrance, then slip behind the 365 store near the clubhouse. In Ohtani, the 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE sits near the western edge by a tower group with three red towers, one white tower, and a wooden house nearby. The white tower is the giveaway.

Mountain and countryside finds

Ito hides the 1985 Nissan Safari Turbo up in the northeast highlands. Follow the dirt climb beyond the Toyota 2000GT Barn Find area and check the turbine bases near the wind farm; the truck is slightly southwest of the drift zone. In Shimanoyama, the 1987 Porsche 959 is much easier. Drive toward Narai-Juku, northwest of the stadium, and check the big roadside lot outside the 365 store. Nangan's 2005 Ford GT is easier to miss. Go to the far southeast coast, watch for a yellow roadside sign, then take the narrow path toward the overlook facing Tokyo.

Cold roads, temples, and the last rewards

For Hokubu, use the railway as your guide. The 1981 BMW M1 is near the northern rail bridge area, close to farmland and the Takashiro border. In Takashiro, follow the dirt road past the torii gate and temple route toward the water; the 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR is parked beside the waterfall stream. Sotoyama saves the 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale for the snowy Tateyama Alpine pass, west of Hakusan Mountain Lodge beside a roadside wooden lodge. Once all nine are collected, you'll have the full exclusive set, a player emblem, achievement progress, and a healthier garage; if you're also tuning, buying upgrades, or filling gaps outside the hidden list, cheap FH6 Cars can make that side of the game move along faster.
