A first-place finish in France's 2026 "Cote d'Amour des Marques" dealer survey — scoring 8.49/10 in its first-ever appearance — didn't happen by accident for KOVE. Behind the headline number sits a distribution strategy specifically built for the French market, and a set of operational choices that dealers rewarded directly.
The L'Officiel survey, established in 1998, gathered input from 544 dealers across France, evaluating 17 brands on 15 criteria spanning sales, aftersales, management, network policy, communication, dealer support, spare parts, technical assistance, and overall satisfaction. KOVE's top ranking, ahead of established names like BMW, Triumph, and Ducati in past editions, reflects strength across nearly all of these areas rather than a single standout metric.
Central to KOVE's French approach is a dual-channel distribution model: TRC Racing is responsible for the import and market development of the KOVE 450 Rally, while MB Motor manages the rest of the product range. This structure has allowed KOVE to serve different customer segments — from off-road and rally-focused riders to the broader ADV and street market — without diluting focus on either. The approach supported 541 registrations in France in 2025.
The results back up the strategy: KOVE scored 9.1/10 for new vehicle quality, 9.1/10 for communication and listening, and 8.8/10 for spare parts pricing, with strong marks on network policy, communication, autonomy, and support. Dealers specifically praised KOVE's quality-to-price ratio, stable product quality, protected margins, and competitive spare parts pricing — all factors closely tied to how a distribution network is run, not just how a bike performs.
The KOVE 450 Rally's connection to the brand's Dakar Rally program was cited as a key contributor to building market awareness and dealer confidence, reinforcing how KOVE's racing investment feeds directly into its commercial distribution strategy in Europe.
KOVE was candid about where the model still needs refinement: dealers flagged spare parts availability, delivery times, and further product range expansion as priorities. The company says it's working with its European partners to strengthen spare parts supply, improve delivery efficiency, and optimize local service support.
With QJ Motor and CFMoto also gaining ground in this year's survey, KOVE's structured, segment-specific distribution approach may offer a template other Chinese manufacturers look to as they build out their own European market strategies.
