SEGA's upcoming Like a Dragon game is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated releases of the year, set to launch on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii takes the series in an exciting and unexpected new direction, blending ship combat with nostalgic arcade machines and offering potentially hundreds of hours of gameplay. The good news is that fans can experience a preview of the game with a brand-new demo, which launched on February 13 for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC (via Steam).
Unveiled during the recent PlayStation State of Play event, the demo allows players to explore two unique locations within the game. It offers a chance to try out both the Mad Dog and Sea Dog fighting styles, face powerful bounty enemies, and participate in four ship and deck battles in the Pirates' Coliseum.
Additionally, the demo includes customization options and a karaoke mini-game, featuring three songs to enjoy. For those who are hooked, the full game will be available starting February 21. Players can also choose between two versions, including the £64.99 Deluxe Edition, which offers a wealth of bonus content, such as new items, outfits, ship customization options, and additional songs for the karaoke mini-game.
In other Like a Dragon news revealed at the State of Play, SEGA announced that Dave the Diver will feature a Like a Dragon Ichiban’s Holiday DLC this April. This expansion follows Kasuga Ichiban as he takes a break at the Blue Hole, accompanied by the bartender from the "Survive Bar." However, their relaxation takes a dark turn when they stumble upon a dangerous plot involving dolphin poaching.
The crossover will feature several mini-games from both worlds, including Ichiban’s memorable karaoke performances. Fans will also be able to recruit familiar faces from the Like a Dragon series to join the restaurant staff, with clues scattered throughout the experience about their origins.
