In Diablo 4, Annihilus is a Unique Horadric Seal reported after Echo of Uber Diablo appears following a World Boss, so your first job is to keep Unique Seals visible. The encounter is not guaranteed, and the filter can hide the reward if it only highlights Mythic items. As you sort your character's supplies, D4 Gold can cover routine upgrades without changing the drop conditions.
How do you make Annihilus visible in Diablo 4
Set your loot filter to show Unique Seals before entering the World Boss arena. Annihilus is a Unique Horadric Seal, not a Mythic Unique, and a Mythic-only setup can leave the item hidden after the fight.
Open the filter and check the rules for both item type and rarity. A reliable setup should display Horadric Seals, show Unique items, and place those rules above any broad Hide rule that removes ordinary-looking drops. The filter should not require Item Power 900 or a Greater Affix before showing the seal, because those conditions may hide the reward before you can inspect it.
After the Echo dies, scan the ground instead of leaving immediately. Temporarily turn the filter off if the drop area looks empty, then inspect every seal before cleaning up. Capture the item's stats if you may trade it or compare it with your current build, and make sure automatic salvage does not include Unique Seals.
Where does Annihilus appear after a World Boss
Annihilus appears through Echo of Uber Diablo: The Dark Lord when that extra encounter follows a World Boss kill. Defeat Ashava, Avarice, Wandering Death, or Azmodan, then stay inside the arena and watch for the message "Diablo walks the earth."
The normal World Boss schedule gives you an attendance window, not a promise that the Echo will spawn. The interval is 3 hours and 30 minutes, with earlier warning and a second notification 15 minutes before the regular boss appears. Arrive early enough to enter the instance, keep the arena open after the first fight, and watch both the screen and chat for the follow-up announcement.
Many World Boss clears produce no Echo. Reports often mention Azmodan, but an Azmodan-only rule has not been established, and one clear without the extra fight does not prove that your character missed a personal requirement. The proposed Stone of Jordan salvage threshold, including figures around 75 or 125 combined rings, remains unconfirmed, so do not destroy valuable rings just to chase either number.
What should you check on an Annihilus drop
Check the seal's rolls before rerolling it at the Horadric Cube in Temis. Reported Annihilus values include 10-20% All Stats, 10-20% Resistance to All Elements, 5-10 ranks to All Skills, and 5-10% Bonus Experience, with about Item Power 900 and 6 Charm slots.
Some versions also show set effects such as Fulcrum of Mefis and Rite of the Nameless, but those lines are not guaranteed on every seal. Compare the full package with your class, current charm setup, and available Mythic seals. Seal of the Diamond Mind and Seal of the Golden Epiphany can outperform Annihilus for builds that benefit more from their specialized effects.
A fresh drop is described as tradable before rerolling. Using the Cube makes it account-bound, so record the original stats and decide whether to keep or trade it before changing anything. That choice matters more on a low-roll seal, especially when your build is not settled.
For your next World Boss window, set the filter to show Unique Seals, arrive early, stay after the regular kill, and inspect the arena before leaving. Keep the Echo possibility in mind without treating it as guaranteed, then use cheap Diablo 4 Gold only as part of the normal preparation for another scheduled run.
